Overhaul - Repairs

Repairing, cleaning and fixing of periodically wormed parts of organs which will not need any extensive work. Works can be carried out on every type of organ whether mechanical, electrical and pneumatic actions.

An overhaul is generally required every 15 to 20 years. This involves dismantling the parts for cleaning and repair works, which include the pipework, wind-chests, bellows, and others for any action faults and calibration needs. The overhaul also extends to the replacement of wormed leather work, the treatment of woodworm damages, and oiling the blower. Tonal corrections may also be effected along with a fine-tuning session. This will enable the organ to perform at peak condition for many more years to come.
